Aimee Wallis Buchanan

Co-Director, Communicator, and Arts Facilitator (“say it with attitude!”)

Aimee has been in ministry for 20 years. Her focus has always been arts, faith, worship, and youth ministry. She is a speaker and preacher. She’s an ordained Presbyterian Church USA minister, but has recently exchanged her black robe for jeans and Chacos. She loves teaching and has a “freak out” when she sees the lights come on in someone’s head! She is an author. She is a writer and director for the stage and feels transported when she sees young people bring stories to life on stage. She travels frequently to speak, preach, teach, and lead drama around the country. She has a major crush on her hubby, Bill, and loves her two incredible kids dearly. She is also quite obsessed with Tanner Booboo Besos Kisses–that’s the family’s yellow lab (who speaks Spanish, by the way)!

Bill Buchanan

Co-Director, Music Maestro, and Bible Break-It-Downist

Bill is a lifetime “presby-geek” and and an ordained minister.  He has worked in churches in Virginia and North Carolina doing ministry with youth and mission.  Now Bill is excited to be working full time with Asheville Youth Mission, putting his skills and passions to work with young people from all over the country that come to serve in the great community known as Ashe-vegas.  He’s a musician and singer and loves to empower young people to express themselves through music.  Some folks also know him by his hip-hop alter ego, The Rt. Rev. Smoothe (aka Padre Suave).  Bill loves being a husband to Aimee and a father to their two kids.  Add in barbecue and college basketball and life is near about perfect!
